Business Profile

Location & New service My Counselling location:

You can be sure of a confidential and relaxing environment as I operate from The Gait Lodge, based in the historical grounds of Galgorm Castle. This lovely building by day houses a podiatry service as well as a clinical Masseuse and I am blessed to be able to offer my counselling service there in the evening when no other staff are working so you will be guaranteed privacy and confidentiality.

Skype individual therapy sessions

I can now offer skype video call therapy sessions. These operate under the same format as an a session within my therapeutic practice however are useful for those who are unable to travel to my location or for those who have difficulty attending the sessions I have available due to time limitations
These sessions last minutes and are charged at the same rate of £40 for 50 minutes however payment must be made in advance of the session. I can accept payment via credit/debit card through paypal and will invoice the client in advance of the session

About my Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice A Single Thread of Hope is still a very powerful thing'

It can be difficult and scary to move forward in life when we carry hurt, fear, worry and many other forms of negative emotions

I offer one to one or couples / family therapy using the integrative counselling model

I also now offer individual therapy sessions through the medium of Skype video calls - these sessions are only for people seeking individual therapy and are not available for couples or family sessions.

Counselling offers you a safe confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be painful, confusing or uncomfortable. It is an opportunity to talk to a trained professional who can help you move forward with your life.

I work from an Integrative approach with a particular inclination to use Psychodynamic methods where appropriate to help you gain a better understanding of how the past may be impacting your behaviour(s) and emotion(s) in the now.

What is Integrative Counselling?

Integrative counselling offers a wide range of skills and tools. The knowledge encompassed over the years of training means that I have a vast wealth of experience in methods to help a client put their life on the path they want it to go. As is only to be expected; new techniques and skills are forever emerging and the benefit of being an integrative counsellor means that I strive to continue my own research and training when possible and am a continuously developing counsellor determined to offer the best counselling service to all my clients.

I offer a full no obligation consultation session.

This consultation is just an opportunity for you to meet me and vice versa before we decide to go ahead with the counselling process. During this time you will be introduced to my style of working and may get an idea of whether we will "fit", whilst I will get an idea of the issues you want to work on. During this consultation it may become apparent that I don't have the necessary skills or experience to help you but I can refer you to someone who can, or you may just decide that the whole counselling process is not for you.

If you're happy to commit to counselling with me we can then conclude the consultation session by making our contract.

Please note: You are under no obligation to sign up for a series of sessions at this initial consultation.
